The family-owned company was started in 1989, but its origins can be traced back to the 1950s, when Sandro and Tina Mazzarino migrated from Sicily and Veneto respectively. Sandro worked with concrete and then moved into construction, soon generating enough work for himself and his son, Paul.
“Our motto is ‘generations of building’,” says Laura Mazzarino, General Business Manager. “Our customers are taken care of by three generations of our family – by Sandro and Tina, by Paul and myself and now also by our son, Sebastian.”
Laura says this has a real bearing on the company’s culture. “We’re an intimate family business and that extends to our clients. Paul and I invite them in and we sit to discuss what they need. We’re with them through out the process, from design to completion. That can be 12 to 15 months – which is a relationship by any measure!”
Boston Building insists on being across every detail during the build. “The work we do is a reflection of us. And it’s important to us – we’re not only safeguarding the reputation of the company, we’re upholding the reputation of our family.”
